A place to recall & share all the good times
One thing that I will miss terribly is the stupid little errands we would do together. It was never spoken between us, but I think Brian and I both enjoyed the excuse to just spend a little time together. On holidays, or birthdays, or BBQs there would usually be some small items forgotten that needed to be purchased. Brian or I would volunteer to go get them, and the other would volunteer to accompany. That was followed by “shall you drive or I?” then as often as not Brian would whip out his keys first; it didn’t really matter–we would pick a car and go.
Usually the trip ended up being at Sam’s Club. We’d grab a cart and browse the front area to see if there were any amazing deals on electronics we could not pass up. Every time the answer was no. We’d check the automotive aisle to see if we needed anything there for one project or another, again usually no. Then we’d roll around to the grocery area, give Juli a call to verify one thing or another and load up the cart. I’d help him resist the cases of energy drinks that Juli would beat him for smuggling in. We’d hit the video game and movie section again to see if there was anything we couldn’t live without.
All that was really just excuse to stretch the time spent hanging out together before we re-entered the crowd at home. I’m going to miss that terribly.
