Another Donut Derelicts Tale

I would also attend the Donut Derelicts car gatherings with Chris and Brian. A few times I displayed my old Porsche, but usually I went in my Chevy daily driver or my old GMC van, parking in a “spectator” area.  I often took the van just to get it running as it usually just sits. It’s not a show car but it does live up to the name “derelict”. A few times Brian would joke/encourage me to display the van. On one occasion he urged me a little more to do so. At the show he parked in a different spot from his usual location just so there would be a space beside FrankenPinto to park my van then urged me to move my van next to FrankenPinto. So I went to the spectator area, got in the van and pulled it next to FrankenPinto. I then reached down and picked up sign to tape to the windshield. Brain was watching me and quickly realized he had been had: I was planning on displaying the van next to FrankenPinto all along with the sign pictured below (in fact I had two signs ready with the arrow going two ways as I had not way of knowing which side of FrankenPinto I would be on). This was the only time I managed to pull one over on him and we both had a good laugh.
