Memorial for Brian von KleinSmid

A place to recall & share all the good times

4th of July

I will always remember the 2013 4th of July as one of my favorites because of Brian. The 4th of july is hands down my favorite holiday because I get to play with fire and explosives and it is nice and legal. After all what better way to celebrate your nation’s independence by blowing up a small chunck of it? Despite the 4th of July and it usually being a social event, I used to spend it alone because I never encountered anyone who loves fireworks with the same childlike excitement and passion that I do (much like a small child on Christmas morning). However that changed on 7/4/13, Brian and I were on the same page from the beginning of the fireworks display to the end. It actually felt like Brian and I were almost sharring the same mind, we didn’t even have to speak; we new what “modifications” to make and what order to light the fireworks off in. I don’t get manny interactions with people that are so personal to me. I remember it so well that I can actually smell the burning sulfer in the air and I can still see the bright rainbow of colored flames, as well as hear the popps and crackles from the magical “works of fun”. It was the best 4th ever because I could finally share with another person the pure fun of the flame. Rock on Brian.
